The Secure Key Holding Service from The Birmingham Control Centre provides you with round-the-clock reassurance that your important keys are safe, protected and can be accessed in an emergency.
We hold vital keys to commercial and public buildings of all descriptions in our secure facility.
We offer two levels of service: Secure Key Holding Service, or Key Holding Plus Active Response. This means we pre-arrange a response to suit your operation ranging from a call to check-up, or emergency services call-out.
From experience, we have found that most of our clients opt for the additional reassurance of Key Holding Plus Active Response services. A third option is also available on request: our Opening and Closing Service is provided by our Security Services Team.
Thanks to our high standards, cost-effectiveness, and tailor-made solutions, our service gives you peace of mind, reduced risk to personal safety, and can be offset as an insurance advantage. Our Secure Key Holding Service can work with our other provisions to give you complete security peace of mind.

Pricing:
- Key holding: £195 per annum (works out at just 53p per day)
- Key holding + active response: £195 + £99 admin fee per annum. Call out fee £55 for first hour, then £27.50 per half hour thereafter.

Whether you’re a business owner, site manager or public building premises manager, we’ll work with you to handle fire alarm activation responses, grant emergency access, respond to leaks, power cuts, extreme weather events, and all sorts of other out-of-hours situations where access to your property may be required.
For vacant premises, holiday cover, warehouse storage, shops, distribution centres, and public buildings, The Birmingham Control Centre offers an unparalleled level of cover for your peace of mind.
Should your keys be stolen, the key holder is out of contact, or an alarm has been triggered out of normal business hours, our Secure Key Holding Service becomes a reassuring investment in the safety and security of your property, and your staff. To access a key, registered clients arrange for them to be signed for and collected by a named / identified individual from The Control Centre.
If Active Response is required, one of our experienced response officers will be alerted, and depending on the cause, will then monitor remotely, liaise with relevant Customer Service Officers from your preferred alarm monitoring company (if we don’t already monitor your alarm), dispatch personnel, communicate with your nominated staff contact, or alert the emergency services.
If an activation is triggered in error, we will deal with any reset without the need to disturb your staff. The additional benefit of this service is the ability to deliver out-of-hours security in the event of intentional alarm activation or other emergencies like power cuts.
Attending emergency situations can pose a risk to personal safety. Working with us helps to minimise risk to staff who attend alarm activation callouts.
